The primary responsibility of this position is to analyze customer needs, soil conditions, and project specifications and to design and engineer the optimum foundation solution(s) for the project. This process may include estimates that include all means and methods of heavy civil construction, use of subcontractors, a variety of materials and labor, and will largely cover projects utilizing driven pile, shoring, auger cast pile, helicals, drilled shafts, and several alternative proprietary pile types.
Requirements of the position include: strong verbal, written and listening skills; creative thinking, problem solving and decision making skills; understanding of common estimating practices and procedures; understanding of common means and methods of heavy civil construction; ability to interpret drawings and specifications; strong computer, time management, organization, and interpersonal skills; Bachelor's Degree in Geotech, Structural, or Civil Engineering and five years of construction related experience.
Estimator (Foundation Solutions for Heavy Civil Projects)

The primary responsibility of this position is to prepare thorough, accurate, and timely proposals and project estimates. Some project management may occur on a specific application or specialized project basis.

Project Manager (Foundation Solutions for Heavy Civil Projects)
Foundation Constructors, Inc. is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Project Manager for their Oakley, CA operation. The primary objective of the position is to ensure every project under the Project Manager's direction is planned and executed utilizing the safest, most productive and financially rewarding strategies while meeting or exceeding the customer expectations for the project. Key job responsibilities include:
Review and complete understanding of the project proposal, estimate and scope of work
Communication of any contract revisions to customer; to implementation of a completed mutually beneficial agreement
Collaborate with Superintendent in the development of the project plan and the specific personnel and equipment strategy
Approve the project plan and its deployment to Superintendent for construction
Accurately and timely process change orders and billings as well as communicate them with the customer and office where appropriate
Approve all changes to schedules of work, changes in work, or other issues which materially affect the financial or production requirements on the project
Routinely track and accurately report percent of completed work, billings, payments and production/variance reports
Provide leadership and maintain effective working relationships with Foundation's project staff and client representatives

The primary responsibility of this position is to plan, direct and supervise all aspects of the field construction to ensure that all projects are completed on schedule, per specifications, and within budget.
Requirements of the position include: proven leadership and supervision of field personnel; understanding of common means and methods of heavy civil construction; ability to interpret specifications, drawings, and constructability of projects; assist Project Managers with site specific construction plans; conducting financial and production analysis with Project Manager; collaboration with suppliers, subcontractors, field agencies, general contractor, or owner representatives; approval of all time, material, equipment and related services which are charged to the project; strong verbal and written communication skills; professionalism and integrity; strong creative thinking and decision making capability; the ability to manage multiple and concurrent projects; and three years of prior superintendent experience or equivalent.
